How can I help you today?

Meet Joey

Welcome! If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by music theory, then you’re in the right place. I’m here to show you that there's another way to learn - one that's fun, engaging and easy.

Why listen to me? I'm a music teacher and multi-instrumentalist  with over 10 years teaching experience and 20+ years playing my sax, clarinet and piano. I studied at JRNCM before reading Music at Cambridge University where I graduated with a 1st Class Degree.

Frustrated with traditional, uninspiring approaches to theory, I created an alternative. Everything I share comes from what I teach my own students and the tips that helped me as a dyslexic musician. These are the resources I wish I had—and I’m excited to share them with you!

Hear from my students

"Joey was extremely helpful guiding me with my personal statement and essay writing for my Cambridge application and preparation for the interview, which gained me a place at Cambridge. I would 100% recommend Joey for anyone needing guidance for applying to Oxbridge of any other Unis!

"Absolutely amazing tutor. Fun, engaging and motivating. My son has benefitted immensely from her tuition in not only his piano but all aspects of learning as well as helping him focus and develop after a significant bereavement."

Emily (parent)
Great course! Useful for me as a saxophonist and my husband who plays piano. The site is clear and easy to navigate, there are interactive quizzes and worksheets making it fun and addictive. I had no idea learning music theory could be fun!"
